Internet Still Disrupted in Pakistan With No Clarification From PTA

Internet services across the country remain partially disrupted, causing widespread inconvenience to users. Residents in various cities are experiencing difficulties with browsing, downloading, and accessing popular social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram.

Even with VPN services, the performance of these applications remains sluggish.

The disruption has significantly impacted multiple sectors, including businesses, education, and online services. Users have reported delays in completing tasks and maintaining communications which has made daily lives a challenge.

Sources told ProPakistani that the slowdown in social media applications may be linked to a firewall imposed by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). However, the PTA has not yet confirmed the disruption or provided clarity on the situation.

The government restored internet services in cities like Islamabad and Rawalpindi yesterday after suspending connectivity in some areas for security reasons. Users across the country are now eagerly awaiting updates from the authorities regarding a resolution.
