Honor has just introduced the Honor X9c Smart, an entry-level smartphone aimed at the Malaysian market. This new device resembles the Honor X60 in various aspects. One of the standout differences is the addition of an extra camera.
The Honor X9c Smart features a 6.8-inch TFT LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth scrolling and responsive performance. With a resolution of 1080 x 2412 pixels and an 88.4% screen-to-body ratio, the display delivers clarity for a more immersive experience. Additionally, the screen has a peak brightness of 850 nits.
In terms of design, the Honor X9c Smart is available in two color options: Ocean Cyan and Moonlight White. Moreover, the device is waterproof, providing durability against water-related damage, although we have yet to confirm the specific IP certification. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner is also available.
Under the hood, the Honor X9c Smart is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset, built on a 6nm process. This octa-core processor (2×2.5 GHz Cortex-A78 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) delivers solid performance for everyday tasks and moderate multitasking. Complementing the processor is the IMG BXM-8-256 GPU, which makes the device suitable for light gaming and smooth video streaming.
The phone runs on Android 14 with Magic OS 8, offering a user-friendly interface with plenty of customization options. Additionally, it comes with 256 GB of internal storage and 8 GB of RAM, providing plenty of space for apps, photos, and videos. However, it’s important to note that it does not have an expandable storage slot.
The Honor X9c Smart features a dual-camera setup on the back. The main sensor is a 108MP wide camera with an f/1.8 aperture, which captures detailed and vibrant photos. It is paired with a 5MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture, ideal for wide-angle shots. The camera system supports LED flash, panorama, and HDR, ensuring quality photos in various lighting conditions.
On the front, there’s a 16 MP selfie camera with an f/2.5 aperture, designed for crisp and bright self-portraits. Both the front and rear cameras are capable of recording 1080p video at 30fps, delivering smooth and high-quality video footage.
The Honor X9c Smart comes with a massive 5,800 mAh battery, ensuring long-lasting usage throughout the day. The device supports 35W wired fast charging. In addition, the phone features 5W reverse wired charging, allowing users to charge other devices.
