Punjab to Outsource Around 3,000 Schools

The Punjab Education Department has initiated the process to outsource 2,903 government schools as part of the third phase of privatization, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

In this phase, schools with at least 100 students and two teachers, as well as upgraded high schools, will be outsourced. Additionally, middle and high schools operating without teachers across the province will also be privatized.

It is noteworthy that 5,863 government schools were outsourced during the first phase, followed by 4,453 schools in the second phase.

Approximately 13,000 government schools are expected to be privatized in the third phase. Once the outsourcing process is completed, only 35,000 government schools will remain under the Punjab government.
