Saudi Airline Targets 3.5 Million Pakistani Tourists by 2030

Saudi Arabia’s flagship carrier, Saudia, has unveiled plans to boost tourism from Pakistan, aiming to welcome 3.5 million Pakistani visitors annually by 2030. This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy, which focuses on diversifying its economy through expanded tourism.

Saudia has a long-standing relationship with Pakistan, starting with its first flight to Karachi in 1970. The airline operates numerous weekly flights connecting major Pakistani cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, Peshawar, and Sialkot.

Saudia is expanding its fleet with 105 new aircraft and rolling out an AI-powered Travel Companion platform to meet its ambitious tourism targets. The tool, now in beta, simplifies booking accommodations, transportation, and activities, offering users access to verified service providers.

The airline is also enhancing its AlFursan loyalty program, introducing advanced features for managing rewards, tracking mileage, and upgrading memberships. These efforts are part of Saudia’s digital transformation strategy to elevate the customer experience.

Saudi Arabia is positioning Pakistan as a crucial market for religious pilgrimages, leisure tourism, and business travel, supporting the Kingdom’s broader goal of welcoming 330 million tourists annually by the end of the decade.
