China is set to establish over 22 Centers of Excellence in Pakistan to provide advanced technical and vocational training, along with Chinese language proficiency.
The initiative was solidified through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Pakistan’s National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) and China’s TANG International Education Group.
Under the guidance of the Federal Ministry of Education and Professional Training, the project focuses on preparing a skilled workforce to meet the demands of modern industries while fostering innovation through collaboration between the two nations.
It also aims to enhance employment opportunities for Pakistani youth on a global scale, particularly in China and other regions connected through the Belt and Road Initiative.
The centers will offer cutting-edge Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs, with a strong emphasis on modern IT skills. This initiative is expected to play a crucial role in Pakistan’s socio-economic development by equipping young individuals with skills aligned with global job market requirements.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior officials from both countries, including representatives from NAVTTC, TANG International, and the Chinese Embassy. The project underscores the growing cooperation between Pakistan and China in promoting education and workforce development.
