The Punjab Government has launched an innovative e-auction system aimed at simplifying the process of registering vehicles and securing preferred number plates. This new initiative allows citizens to register vehicles and participate in online auctions for their desired vehicle number plates through a dedicated mobile app and web portal.
The registration for the e-auction program is now open and will remain available until December 31, 2024, offering ample time for individuals to select and bid for their preferred vehicle numbers.
Developed by the Punjab Excise and Taxation Department in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), the platform provides an efficient and user-friendly system for both motorcycle and car number plates. In addition to registering and placing bids, users can also access auction results and winning details directly through the app.
Faisal Yousaf, Chairman of PITB, emphasized the simplicity and convenience of the system. He explained that the e-auction platform ensures an easy registration process and enables individuals to place bids for vehicle numbers online with ease. This initiative aims to enhance user experience and streamline the bidding process, making it more accessible for citizens.
The launch of this digital solution reflects the Punjab Government’s commitment to modernizing services and providing citizens with a more efficient way of managing vehicle registrations and number plate acquisitions.
