Dewan Farooque Motors Limited (DFML) has successfully assembled over 100 units of the ‘Honri-VE’ electric vehicle (EV) at its local assembly plant within the first three months of production. This marks a significant milestone in Pakistan’s electric vehicle sector, as DFML becomes one of the key players in producing EVs locally.
In a recent notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), DFML announced that the initial batch of 100 Honri-VE units had been delivered to Eco-Green Motors Limited for distribution to customers. This step highlights the growing demand for electric vehicles in Pakistan and the company’s commitment to meeting this demand with locally produced units.
The Honri-VE is a Chinese-made EV, and DFML’s Director & Company Secretary, Muhammad Hanif German, noted that the vehicle can be compared to popular Suzuki models like the Wagon R, Cultus, and Mehran. He specifically highlighted the Honri-VE’s interior and seating capacity, stating that it would be most appropriate to compare it with the Wagon R in terms of comfort and space.
The Honri-VE is available in two variants:
- Honri-VE 2.0: Offers a range of 200 km on a full charge, priced at Rs. 3.99 million.
- Honri-VE 3.0: Provides a range of 300 km on a full charge, priced at Rs. 4.99 million.
With its eco-friendly technology and affordable pricing, the Honri-VE is poised to become a strong contender in the local market, offering a greener alternative to traditional fuel-based cars. As more vehicles hit the roads, the shift toward electric mobility in Pakistan continues to gain momentum, with DFML’s local assembly playing a vital role in this transformation.

funny looking with low range .
front looks like a room cooler grill lol . These companies think Pakistanis have no Design Sense??
agreed with this price they must offer at least 500KM range for 3.0. In EV world 300km range is basically 220Km with AC, even lower so minimum of 500Km range is required.
Considering Pakistanis were happily paying for 3rd class overpriced featureless Mehran for 30 years, it wouldn’t surprise me if this Air Cooler has some buyers
Regardless of design assembler promoted this vehicle very poorly. Especially about the charging specs, wattage consumption etc
Please there is no news about electric charging point in city or on m way or national highway.
Both variants with 200/300 K. Meters range with 8 hours recharge time seems expensive also not practical keeping in view distances in Karachi and traffic jams during rush hours.
