CDA to Complete Serena Interchange Project in 3 Months

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to complete the long-awaited Serena Interchange project within three months.

On his visit to review the construction progress, Naqvi emphasized the importance of finishing the Rs. 4.2 billion project on schedule.

The Serena Interchange is designed to address the traffic congestion issues faced by the residents of Islamabad and travelers from surrounding cities. With this project, Naqvi believes that traffic flow will significantly improve, benefiting not only local commuters but also visitors to the capital.

The interchange will include three underpasses with loops to streamline traffic movement. Two of these underpasses will be located along the Srinagar Highway, while the third will be built on Khyaban-i-Suharwardi. The addition of these underpasses will enhance connectivity and ease traffic bottlenecks in key areas of Islamabad.

The Interior Minister also received a detailed briefing on the project’s progress. Along with the construction timelines, he instructed the CDA to ensure effective traffic management to minimize disruptions during the remaining work.
