Lahore Records Increase in Prices of Dairy Products

Despite claims by the Punjab government to control prices, milk vendors in Lahore have raised the prices of milk and yogurt.

According to market sources, the price of milk in Lahore has increased from PKR 180 to PKR 200 per liter, while yogurt prices have risen from PKR 200 to PKR 220–230 per kilogram. In various parts of the city, milk and yogurt prices have gone up by PKR 20–30 per kilogram.

Milk vendors and shopkeepers attribute the price hikes to rising costs, stating that the increases were necessary to cover their expenses.

Citizens have expressed frustration over the price surge, criticizing the administration for leaving them helpless. They complained that there is no authority to address the issue or hold vendors accountable.
