Apple iPhone SE 4 Expected in 2025 with Advanced Cameras, OLED Display, and In-House 5G Chip

According to a recent report from Korean supply chain sources, Apple’s upcoming iPhone SE 4 will feature significant upgrades, including a single 48MP rear camera and a 12MP TrueDepth camera on the front.

The report from ET News highlights that Korea-based LG Innotek will primarily supply the camera modules for the new iPhone SE, with additional contributions from Foxconn and Cowell Electronics. These updates align the device more closely with the current iPhone 16’s camera capabilities, which include a 48MP “Fusion” lens.

This lens, capable of capturing both standard and cropped-in 2x zoom photos, offers users enhanced photography options. However, unlike the iPhone 16, the SE 4 will skip the ultrawide camera, keeping the focus on a single rear sensor.

The Apple iPhone SE 4 will reportedly feature an all-display design similar to the iPhone 14, replacing Touch ID with Face ID. Apple plans to equip the device with a 6.06-inch OLED display, moving away from the older LCD technology, and adding a USB-C port.

Additionally, the SE 4 will feature 8 GB of RAM to enhance performance, particularly for Apple Intelligence capabilities, and it may introduce a multi-purpose Action button to replace the traditional mute switch.

Another major highlight is the anticipated inclusion of an Apple-designed 5G modem, marking a departure from third-party suppliers. This will likely make the SE 4 the first Apple device to feature the in-house 5G chip.

The iPhone SE 4 is expected to launch in the first quarter of 2025 with an expected price of $400, making it more accessible to the masses.
