FIA Arrests Former Education Ministry Employees for Corruption

The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Anti-Corruption Circle in Islamabad has arrested two former employees of the Ministry of Education for allegedly misappropriating funds.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the detained individuals held the positions of Chief Finance Officer and Chief Internal Auditor within the ministry.

The suspects are accused of embezzling over Rs20 million by releasing funds to more than 318 ghost employees. Additionally, they are alleged to have unlawfully obtained membership at the Islamabad Club.

A case has been registered against the accused, and an investigation is underway, the spokesperson added.
