Government Warns Employees Over Office Timings in KP

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has formally warned public employees, emphasizing the importance of adhering to official office hours.

According to a report published in a national daily, the provincial Finance Department released a notification addressing concerns over laxity in compliance with work timings across government offices.

The notification reiterated that the designated office hours for all departments and employees are from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The directive was prompted by reports of government officials and staff failing to observe the prescribed work schedule. The Finance Department stressed that punctuality is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency in public offices.

The notification also warned employees about the potential consequences of non-compliance. It stated that those violating office timings could face penalties, including salary deductions or transfers to different locations.
