The Punjab Department of Local Bodies has made matriculation a mandatory requirement for Nikkah Khawans in the province, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
Going forward, only individuals with a matriculation certificate will be eligible to officiate Islamic Nikkah ceremonies.
