South Africa Opt to Bowl First in Second ODI Against Pakistan

South Africa won the toss and chose to bowl first in the second ODI of the three-match series against Pakistan at Cape Town’s iconic Newlands Cricket Ground on Tuesday. With the series currently standing at 1-0 in Pakistan’s favor, the Proteas are eager to level the contest.

South African captain Temba Bavuma, returning from a brief rest, highlighted the last game’s result and the bowling conditions at Newlands as a key factor in the decision.

Team Changes

South Africa made some significant changes to their lineup. Left-arm Pacer Kwena Mphaka is in the lineup in place of Rabada to avoid what happened with Keshav Maharaj in the last game. Bjorn Fortuin has been directly included in the playing XI, replacing Ryan Rickelton. Tristan Stubbs, Ottneil Baartman have also been rested.
