Sindh Extends Biometric Verification Deadline for Old Vehicles

Sindh Excise Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla has announced a two-month extension for the biometric verification deadline for owners of older vehicles.

He also revealed plans to introduce an online fee submission system, which aims to streamline the process for vehicle registration and tax payments.

During a Friday meeting with the Car Dealers Association, the minister stated that the online system would allow owners to apply for new number plates and receive them efficiently. He emphasized efforts to simplify procedures for vehicle taxes, registration, and biometric verification, ensuring a more convenient experience for the public.

To further assist citizens, additional facilitation centers will be established across Sindh. “Our goal is to ensure that the measures implemented by the Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department are user-friendly,” Chawla remarked.

The meeting, led by Car Dealers Association Chairman Muhammad Kamran Khan, highlighted the sector’s challenges and provided insights into the current business environment.
