Honor has introduced the Magic7 RSR Porsche Design, a premium flagship smartphone that combines cutting-edge technology with luxurious aesthetics. Building on the foundation of the Magic 7 Pro, this device incorporates enhancements and refinements that cater to users seeking both performance and style. Here’s what makes this device stand out.
The Magic7 RSR Porsche Design features a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display. The display is capable of producing 1 billion colors with a 1080p resolution and an impressive peak brightness of 5,000 nits. Protected by Giant Rhino Glass, the display offers ten times the resistance to scratches and drops compared to conventional glass, at least according to the marketing material. 10 times is a big number after all.
The sleek design comes in Provence Purple and Agate Ash, colors inspired by iconic Porsche vehicles such as the Taycan 4S and 911 (992). Measuring 162.7 x 77.1 x 8.8 mm and weighing 228g, the device is both durable and elegant. Additionally, Honor has upgraded the fingerprint scanner to an ultrasonic sensor, providing enhanced accuracy and responsiveness.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset (3nm), the Honor Magic7 RSR Porche Design delivers flagship-level performance. Paired with up to 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, the phone excels in multitasking and resource-intensive applications.
It runs on Android 15 with MagicOS 9.0, offering advanced features like AI-driven personal agents, AI translation, and two-way noise reduction for calls. The device also introduces the Honor C2 chip, enabling expanded 5G coverage and seamless transitions between Wi-Fi and cellular networks.
The smartphone retains the triple-camera setup from the Magic7 Pro, including a 50MP main sensor, a 200MP portrait telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. Honor enhances the telephoto lens with a 1200-point LiDAR solution, ensuring superior stabilization for 60fps video recording.
On the front, the device houses a 50MP selfie camera alongside a 3D TOF sensor, enabling precise facial recognition and exceptional depth effects for portrait selfies.
Equipped with a 5,850 mAh Si/C battery, the Magic7 RSR supports 100W wired charging and 80W wireless charging, ensuring rapid power replenishment. Honor’s proprietary E2 chip further enhances charging efficiency while extending battery life. The phone is also IP68/IP69 certified, providing resistance against dust and water, making it both reliable and robust.
The Honor Magic7 RSR Porsche Design is available in two configurations: a 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage model priced at $1,100, and a 24 GB RAM + 1 TB version priced at $1,230. Currently, the device is available in China, with no confirmed international release date.
