Rawalpindi Achieves Milestone With Soan Bridge Girder Installation

The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) marked a significant milestone in the Ring Road Rawalpindi project as Director General Kinza Murtaza inaugurated the installation of the longest Soan Bridge girder. The ceremony, held on Thursday, was attended by RDA officials and other key stakeholders involved in this transformative infrastructure project.

The Soan Bridge is a pivotal element in the Ring Road project’s construction. Speaking at the event, DG Kinza Murtaza underscored the importance of this achievement. “The completion of this bridge is a crucial step in advancing the Ring Road project,” she stated.

The Ring Road is designed to tackle the city’s escalating traffic congestion while offering a safer, more streamlined route for commuters across the region. Highlighting the urgency of the project, Kinza Murtaza emphasized strict adherence to the timeline and unwavering commitment to quality. “There will be no compromise on work standards. Our priority is to ensure the highest levels of safety and convenience for the public,” she affirmed.

As a flagship initiative of the RDA, the Ring Road Rawalpindi project is set to link major roads, highways, and industrial zones, providing an alternative route that bypasses the overcrowded city center. This development is expected to cut travel times, improve traffic flow, and boost connectivity.

Kinza Murtaza also noted that the RDA is collaborating closely with relevant organizations to ensure the project’s smooth progression. She stressed the importance of strict adherence to safety measures throughout the construction process.

With the successful installation of the Soan Bridge girder, the project is now on track for completion in the coming months. Once finalized, the Ring Road Rawalpindi is anticipated to significantly enhance the city’s infrastructure, facilitate regional economic growth, and offer long-term benefits to residents and travelers alike.
