The Anti-Corruption Circle of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Lahore has apprehended four individuals, including a security guard and a janitor, from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ liaison office in Lahore.
According to an FIA representative, the detained individuals have been identified as Karamat, Abbas, Zafar, and Adnan. Meanwhile, three other suspects—Abdul Rehman, Tayyab, and Rustam—managed to flee the scene.
The spokesperson revealed that the accused were involved in demanding money from citizens in return for facilitating document verification services. During the operation, various items, including documents, passports, and mobile phones, were confiscated. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the suspects under relevant provisions of the law.
Sarfraz Khan Warraich, the Director of FIA Lahore Zone, emphasized that strict measures are being taken to dismantle the network of agents exploiting citizens. He assured that no leniency would be shown to those engaged in such unlawful practices.
