The Motorway Police temporarily shut down various sections of M-2, M-3, and M-4 on Tuesday due to dense fog that severely reduced visibility. According to details, M-2 was closed from Thokar Niaz Beg to Kala Shah Kaku Interchange and from Thokar Niaz Beg to Babu Sabu due to heavy fog. Additionally, the section from Kot Momin to Lillah Interchange was shut for all kinds of traffic.
Similarly, sections of M-3, including Samundri to Darkhana and Pindi Bhattian to Multan, were closed because of poor visibility caused by the thick fog. The Motorway Police stated that these closures were implemented to ensure the safety and security of travelers.
The public is advised to plan their journeys during the daytime, with the recommended travel hours being between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., when visibility is better. These precautionary measures are taken to minimize risks and maintain safety on the roads.
