The Karachi Basketball Association (KBBA) scrutiny committee unveiled the Karachi women’s basketball team on Tuesday for the prestigious National Women’s Basketball Championship. The much-anticipated tournament is set to run from December 26-30 at the WAPDA Sports Complex in Lahore.
Safa Afzal to Lead Karachi Team
Safa Afzal will lead the Karachi Women’s Basketball during the National Championship which left for Lahore on Tuesday, aiming to make a strong impact in the national event. Vice-captain Hareem Zahid will provide leadership support.

Tournament Format and Pool Division
The championship will feature eight top teams from across the country, divided into two pools.
- Pool A: Defending champions Wapda, Karachi, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur
- Pool B: Pakistan Army, Lahore, Islamabad, Hazara
Each day will host four matches of the National Women’s Basketball Championship, with the semi-finals scheduled for December 29 and the grand final on December 30.
