Utility Stores Corporation Raises Minimum Wage for Its Daily Wage Workers

The Utility Stores Corporation (USC) has increased the minimum monthly salary of its daily wage employees to Rs. 37,000. The daily wage rate has been raised to Rs. 1,427, up by Rs. 196 from the previous rate of Rs. 1,231/day.

The adjustment aligns with the federal government’s decision to set the minimum monthly wage at Rs. 37,000 in the federal budget 2024-25.

The previous minimum monthly salary for USC workers stood at Rs. 32,000.

Wage increments vary based on qualifications and roles. Daily wages for matric and under-matric workers will increase by Rs. 196/day, while FA, FSC, D.Com workers, and drivers will see a rise of Rs. 115. Employees with BA or BSc degrees will receive a modest increase of Rs. 19/day.
