The Balochistan government has decided to introduce the Benazir Kissan Card to boost agriculture and support farmers in the province. Funds for the first phase of the initiative have been approved.
According to the government spokesperson, Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has approved the proposal submitted by the agriculture department. The Benazir Kissan Card will provide subsidies to small-scale farmers in Balochistan.
To support this initiative, the province’s IT department will establish a cloud system for two years to manage the program effectively. The first phase will be funded entirely by the provincial government, while the federal government’s assistance will be sought for the second phase.
This initiative aims to enhance agricultural productivity and improve the livelihoods of farmers in the region.
