Popular Tourist Attraction in UAE Closed Temporarily

Ras Al Khaimah’s popular Jais Sledder, the region’s longest toboggan ride, has been temporarily closed, Khaleej Times has reported. According to a call center executive for Jais Adventure Park, no reopening date has been confirmed yet.

The ride has been non-operational for “about a week now,” the executive shared during a phone call on Thursday. While no specific reason was provided, the closure is likely “due to routine maintenance work,” the staff suggested.

The Jais Sledder is one of eight attractions at the adventure complex on Jebel Jais, the UAE’s highest mountain. Visitors to the area can also enjoy hiking and the world’s longest zipline.

Since its launch in 2022, the Jai’s Sledder has been a favorite among thrill-seekers, offering an exhilarating ride down the Hajar mountains at speeds of up to 40km/h. Riders swerve through scenic views of rugged landscapes and the coastline, with tickets priced at Dh50 for adults and Dh65 for an adult with a child.

A recent advisory on the park’s website confirmed the temporary closure, stating: “Please note that the Jais Sledder is currently closed, and we thank you for your understanding and patience.” Its Google listing has also been marked as “temporarily closed.”
