The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled a 14-member squad for the Pakistan Shaheens to compete against the visiting West Indies Test team in a three-day warm-up match. The game will be held at the Islamabad Club in Islamabad, commencing Friday, 10 January 2025.
Test batter Imam-ul-Haq has been named captain of the Shaheens, while standout pacer Musa Khan, who took 38 wickets in just five matches during the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy this season, also makes the squad.
Both teams are set to arrive in Islamabad on Monday, 6 January. The Shaheens will kick off their training at the Islamabad Club on 7 January, while the West Indies will hold two training sessions on 8 and 9 January.
This warm-up match serves as a precursor to the two-match Test series between Pakistan and the West Indies, starting 17 January in Multan. Both matches in the ICC World Test Championship cycle will take place at the same venue. The visitors have already named their squad with PCB set to follow suit in the coming days.
