Jasprit Bumrah Involved in a Fiery Exchange With Sam Konstas

The opening day of the Sydney Test between India and Australia ended with high-voltage drama as India’s stand-in captain, Jasprit Bumrah and newcomer Sam Konstas were involved in a spicy exchange.

As the final moments of the day approached, Usman Khawaja’s delaying tactics ensured that the last ball of the third over would also conclude the day’s play. Just as Bumrah began his run-up, Khawaja stepped away, leaving the Indian pacer visibly frustrated.

At the non-striker’s end, Sam Konstas appeared to defend his partner’s actions, engaging in a heated verbal exchange with Jasprit Bumrah. Umpire Sharfuddoula Saikat had to step in to diffuse the situation.

However, Bumrah had the last laugh when he induced an edge from Khawaja off the final delivery. KL Rahul took a sharp catch at the second slip, giving India an early breakthrough and sparking celebrations.

As Konstas walked back to the dugout at stumps, Bumrah gave the 19-year-old an icy stare, adding intensity to the contest.

The teenage opener charged at Bumrah on the very first ball, driving him for a boundary. He remained unbeaten on seven as Australia ended the day at 9-1.
