Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, has unveiled a new housing initiative to construct over 3,000 residential units in Dubai. With an investment of AED 5.4 billion (around $1.47 billion), this initiative is a significant step toward enhancing the quality of life for Emirati families, particularly young couples.
This program is a key component of the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Program, which emphasizes family stability and community well-being. Priority in housing allocation will be granted to participants in the Dubai Weddings Initiative, a scheme designed to encourage Emirati youth to marry and settle down. The housing projects aim to provide high-quality homes that support the needs of young couples as they embark on their new lives together.
“Our vision is to ensure every Emirati family has access to dignified housing, creating an environment where young people can build stable and prosperous futures,” Sheikh Mohammed stated. He further affirmed his commitment, alongside Hind bint Maktoum, Hamdan bin Mohammed, and Maktoum bin Mohammed, to fostering the prosperity and well-being of UAE citizens.
