Pakistan Gets Another Air Ambulance Service

Sky Wings, a private aviation company, has announced the launch of its air ambulance service in Pakistan, following the lead of the Edhi Foundation.

The service will begin operations with a Piper Seneca aircraft, now stationed in Karachi. This aircraft is equipped to transport patients from any airport across the country to Karachi, ensuring they receive timely medical care.

The service also includes a dedicated medical team to assist patients during flights. Imran Aslam Khan, CEO of Sky Wings Aviation, shared plans to expand the service by adding two additional aircraft to the fleet in the near future.

The company aims to provide nationwide coverage, enabling swift patient transfers from remote or urban areas to medical facilities. This initiative adds to efforts to improve emergency medical response in Pakistan.

Notably, in July 2022, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz launched a government-operated air ambulance service. The service successfully transported an injured woman from Mianwali to Rawalpindi, fulfilling a commitment made to the people.
