Adviser to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for Tourism, Culture, Archaeology, and Museums, Zahid Chanzeb, announced that youth residing in tourist areas will have access to loans under the ‘Chief Minister’s Youth Empowerment’ program.
He explained that the program’s primary goal is to support the construction of additional rooms for tourists alongside existing residences. Beneficiaries can access loans of up to Rs. 3 million for this purpose. The initiative also aims to empower women by encouraging them to start their businesses.

In December 2024, the KP government launched the ‘Ehsaas Apna Ghar Scheme,’ offering interest-free loans of up to Rs. 1.5 million to low-income families for housing needs. A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the Housing Department and the Bank of Khyber to facilitate the program’s implementation.
The scheme, inaugurated by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, was attended by cabinet members Dr. Amjad Ali Khan and Muzammil Aslam, alongside officials from the relevant departments and the Bank of Khyber.
The program aims to provide financial assistance for constructing new homes or renovating and expanding existing ones. With an allocation of Rs. 4 billion, it features a simple seven-year repayment plan, with maximum monthly installments capped at Rs. 18,000 to ensure affordability.
Applicants must own land to qualify, and the scheme will operate as a revolving fund, remaining active for the next seven years.
