Newly Minted Hall of Famers Express Gratitude to PCB

The newly announced members of the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Hall of Fame have each expressed their gratitude to the board for this honor. Inzamam-ul-Haq, Misbah-ul-Haq, Mushtaq Mohammad, and Saeed Anwar all shared excitement over the announcement.

The honorees for PCB Hall of Fame 2025, celebrated for their remarkable achievements and impact on Pakistan cricket, expressed heartfelt indebtedness for this distinction.

I am deeply honored to join the PCB Hall of Fame alongside cricketing legends. Representing Pakistan for nearly 16 years was a privilege. Every run and every victory were cherished moments shared with our passionate fans.

The former captain also acknowledged the influence of playing alongside top-tier cricketers and the unwavering support of his family, which shaped his illustrious career.

Misbah-ul-Haq

Expressing gratitude, Misbah stated:

Being inducted into the PCB Hall of Fame is a crowning achievement of my journey. Representing and captaining Pakistan was an honor, and I am grateful to have led such committed and talented players who made iconic moments possible.

He credited his success to the camaraderie of his teammates, the unwavering passion of fans, and the sacrifices of his family.

Mushtaq Mohammad

Mushtaq expressed his honor for the recognition, 45 years after his last match for Pakistan:

Being part of Pakistan cricket during its formative years was a privilege. Playing alongside cricketing gentlemen who upheld the spirit of the game made the journey unforgettable.

He praised the PCB’s continued efforts to honor its legends and hoped future generations would carry forward Pakistan cricket’s legacy.

Saeed Anwar

Despite challenges, Anwar emphasized that every match he played for Pakistan held special significance, with fans’ unwavering support inspiring him throughout his career. He said,

Joining the PCB Hall of Fame alongside my childhood heroes is humbling. I cherished every moment of representing Pakistan, from facing world-class bowlers to partnering with match-winners for our team’s success.

A Legacy of Legends

The PCB Hall of Fame was established to honor players who have left an indelible mark on Pakistan cricket. The independent panel responsible for the 2024 inductions included luminaries like Wasim Akram, Zaheer Abbas, and Azhar Ali, alongside renowned cricket analysts and journalists.
