Samsung Galaxy S25 Series to Get More Advanced RAM for Extra Power Saving

Samsung continues to refine its flagship smartphones, and the upcoming Galaxy S25 series will see an upgrade to more efficient RAM technology. According to ETNews, while the Galaxy S24 series used LPDDR5X RAM made on a 13nm process, the Galaxy S25 will switch to 12nm RAM chips, which promises improved power efficiency and performance.

RAM Upgrade Details

For the initial production batches, Samsung has reportedly chosen 12nm RAM chips supplied by Micron. However, the company plans to integrate more Samsung-made RAM chips into later batches. The smaller 12nm node will consume less power, generate less heat, and enhance overall efficiency, which should result in better performance for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Series.

The Galaxy S25 series will pair this upgraded RAM with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset across all models. This combination is expected to deliver faster and smoother performance, especially on the standard Galaxy S25 model, which will finally move up to 12 GB of RAM after sticking with 8 GB for several generations.

However, keep in mind that the actual performance improvements remain to be seen and we will have to wait for the phone’s release later this month to get the answers.
