Govt Jacks up Prices of Petrol, Diesel

The federal government has notified the new prices of petroleum products for the next fortnight.

According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs. 3.47 to Rs. 256.13 per liter while the price of high-speed diesel has also been increased by Rs. 2.61 per liter to Rs. 260.95.

The new prices will be applicable from January 16, 2025.

At the last fortnightly review of petroleum price, the government raised the price of petrol by Rs. 0.56 to Rs. 252.66 per liter while the price of high-speed diesel was increased by Rs. 2.96 per liter to Rs. 258.34.
