Complaints of unjustified offloading of individuals traveling abroad for employment with work visas and Protector stamps issued in Pakistan have increased.
Adnan Paracha, Vice Chairman of the Pakistan Overseas Employment Promoters Association, stated that over the past two weeks, young people seeking jobs abroad have been facing increasing difficulties.
He explained that Overseas Employment Promoters send young individuals on work visas through contracts, contributing significantly to Pakistan’s economy, with overseas workers remitting $33 to $34 billion annually.
Paracha highlighted that despite having valid legal documents, including Protector stamps and work visas, many travelers are being offloaded by airport authorities without valid reasons.
He further noted that most of the tickets for these travelers are non-refundable, causing them significant financial losses. Additionally, complaints from international employers about delays have also been increasing.
Adnan Paracha urged the Prime Minister and the Federal Minister of Interior to take immediate action, directing the resolution of these issues faced by individuals traveling abroad with the required legal documents and visas. He emphasized that this workforce is a valuable national asset and deserves prompt support.

Very bad ..government should take immediate action
Pakistan mi hai hi kia government ko citizens ko Kam deni phar action Lina chahie
It happened to me about two weeks ago. I was not allowed to board the plane although I reached airport 1.25 hours before my international flight. They said u should have reached here at least 3 hours before the departure time. So two weeks later I bought a new ticket and reached airport 4 hours before the departure time and guess what they told me we can’t let u enter the check-in area because your flight has been delayed for more 5 hours. I felt like a helplessness slave to those egoistic aviation people who treated us like some second class citizens.
Strongly agree with this article. To be honest, no where in the world Pakistanis are humiliated, the way they are tortured in their own country. They are asked to Pay bribes to get boarding, despite having legal documents. Irrelevant questions are asked to make them embarrassed. The authorities concerned are requested to take positive measures to tackle this matter on a serious note.
It is a very serious problem related to immigration staff in our country.
The stakeholders are requested to solve this problem soon .
Airport staff might be expecting some mithai , if not offered they will crush your future because they are powerful and will definitely use it
It happens when an uneducated people runs country and try to rule over educated people…..lol…
No
i need more information
I my self have witnessed this injustice / crime caused by the Immigration (FIA) staff to the international travelers at the airport. they ask for bribes by misguiding the travelers that their visa or other documents are fake and they will be imprisoned if they report the matter. They ask for bribe and give them some time to think otherwise they will be offloaded though the documents are original. They always target the innocents or the less educated. I have seen many cases while i was working at the airport with an airline.
Similarly the customs deptt staff target the innocients and ask for bribes to allow their goods out of the arrival hall. the custom staff misguide the travelers that these goods are illegal and one has to pay their custom duty or pay them less and take it out.
The whole pakistans governement departments are corrupt and is pain in the ass for the public
