Dubai to Give 10,000 Golden Visas to Content Creators

Dubai has launched a new initiative, ‘Creators HQ’, aimed at attracting 10,000 influencers and digital content creators to the city, positioning it as a global hub for digital media. Participants in the program will receive support with UAE golden visa applications, relocation assistance, and company setup and registration.

The announcement was made at the 1 Billion Followers Summit, a major event dedicated to the creator economy, where attendees collectively represented an audience exceeding one billion followers. This initiative is backed by an AED 150 million ($40.8 million) Content Creators Support Fund, introduced at the event last year.

Golden Visa & Creator Support

Actor Asad Raza Khan, who received his UAE golden visa in 2022 under the actor category, highlighted the country’s dedication to fostering talent in content creation, acting, and writing. He noted that the UAE is now offering golden visas—10-year residence permits—to 10,000 creators as part of its effort to attract talent from around the world.

The program is not limited to social media influencers but is designed to support a diverse range of digital creators, including:

  • Podcasters, visual artists, and media professionals
  • Advertising and marketing firms
  • Music producers, animation studios, and fashion brands

The initiative also aims to build partnerships with tech companies, including social media platforms, streaming services, gaming firms, and AI startups, creating a fully integrated creative ecosystem.

Dubai’s Vision for the Creator Economy

According to Forbes, Dubai is positioning itself as a creator-friendly destination with top-tier infrastructure, tax incentives, and specialized support. If it succeeds in attracting 10,000 influencers, the initiative could establish Dubai as a global leader in digital content creation while contributing to its economic diversification goals.

‘World’s Finest Creators’ & Industry Backing

The Creators HQ was launched at Emirates Towers in Dubai, starting with 100 founding members from over 20 countries. It has the endorsement of over 15 major industry players, including Meta, TikTok, and X (formerly Twitter).

Speaking about the initiative, Mohammad Al Gergawi, UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs, emphasized that Dubai aims to become a global hub where content creators can thrive, secure funding, and connect with investors to expand their reach.

Workshops, Training & Mentorship

Creators HQ plans to host over 300 events and workshops annually, covering essential topics such as:

  • Branding and storytelling
  • Video production and audience engagement
  • Monetization strategies and sponsorship opportunities

Additional initiatives include mentorship programs, funding opportunities, and creative camps for young talents, further solidifying Dubai’s status as a leader in the digital creator economy.
