WWE 2K25 Unveils Open World, Bloodline Showcase, and More

WWE officially unveiled WWE 2K25 during the January 27th episode of Monday Night Raw. With a release date set for March 14, 2025, the game will introduce a host of new features, modes, and gameplay mechanics.

From stepping into an open-world “Island of Relevancy” to intergender matches and an online GM Mode, WWE 2K25 is pulling out all the stops.

The Island of Relevancy

For the first time in franchise history, WWE 2K25 introduces an open-world mode called “The Island of Relevancy.” Exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series X, this immersive WWE-themed world lets players step outside the ropes and into a sprawling environment inspired by Roman Reigns’ dominance.

Players can:

• Complete quests and challenges.
• Compete in live events.
• Upgrade and customize their MySUPERSTAR through multiple storyline chapters.
• Fight to join “The Original Tribal Chief” at the Head of the Table.

Intergender Matches

After years of fan requests, intergender wrestling finally makes its debut in WWE 2K25. Players can now pit male and female Superstars against each other in all game modes, opening up endless possibilities for dream matchups.

Additional gameplay features include:

• The return of chain wrestling.
• New match types like Underground and Bloodline Rules.
• Barricade diving for high-risk, high-reward moments.

Universe Mode Gets Promos

Universe Mode, the sandbox mode beloved by fans, gets a major upgrade with the return of Promos. Players can now craft storylines with branching choices, multiple promo types, and new cutscenes.

Online GM Mode

The popular MyGM mode goes global with online multiplayer for up to four players. Draft WWE Superstars and Legends, manage your roster, and lead your brand through multiple-week seasons.

New features include:

• A bigger selection of General Managers.
• Cross-brand Premium Live Events (PLEs).
• Talent scouts to help you build the ultimate roster.

Unified MyRISE Storyline

For the first time, MyRISE offers a singular multi-gender storyline where players can take control of their custom Superstar from either the men’s or women’s divisions.

The Bloodline Dynasty Showcase

Hosted by Paul Heyman, the all-new Showcase mode celebrates the legendary Bloodline dynasty. Relive iconic moments featuring Roman Reigns, The Rock, Yokozuna, Jacob Fatu, and more.

The “Tribal Chief,” Roman Reigns has been revealed as the cover star for the standard edition of WWE 2K25. But the standard edition isn’t the only option for fans:

• The “Deadman Edition”: A tribute to The Undertaker, this special edition includes exclusive content like alternate attires, a custom Undertaker-themed arena, and a playable version of his “American Badass” persona.

• The “Bloodline Edition”: Featuring Roman Reigns alongside his faction, The Bloodline, this edition offers one week of early access, giving fans a head start on the action.
