The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rising temperatures in Karachi during the final 10 days of Ramadan, starting from March 20. However, Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfraz stated that the beginning of the holy month is expected to bring relatively pleasant weather.
He added that while daytime temperatures may be high, sea breezes will help keep the nights cooler.
Discussing current conditions, Sarfraz noted that the cold wave could slightly intensify on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, with temperatures potentially dropping to 10-12°C. The PMD forecasted cool and dry weather for the next 24 hours, with temperatures expected to range between 11-13°C.
On Monday, the lowest recorded temperature was 13.5°C. Winds from the north were blowing at 7 km/h, with humidity at 32%.
In Peshawar, the weather remained cool, dry, and partly cloudy, with temperatures dropping to 6°C and humidity recorded at 64%. The city’s air quality index reached 260.
Meanwhile, Quetta and nearby areas saw partly cloudy conditions, while northern Balochistan faced extreme cold. The PMD also predicted strong winds, light rain, and snowfall in Quetta, Ziarat, and other districts.
