PFF Electoral Process Remains Pending Until Constitutional Amendments

In the Extraordinary Congress meeting, the newly elected Congress Members have, by a substantial majority, rejected the amendments to the PFF Constitution 2014 proposed by FIFA and AFC. With the decision, a deadlock has been created.

A subsequent review confirmed that the existing constitution of PFF does not meet the required compliance standards of FIFA. As a result, the electoral process, sporting development, and international participation could be suspended until the elected congress adopts the proposed amendments.

FIFA has reiterated that these amendments are essential in ensuring the long-term stability of football in Pakistan. In this regard, Haroon Malik, Chairman of the PFF Normalisation Committee (NC), will conduct meetings with PFF Congress members.
