Following the successful completion of the first phase, which facilitated the weddings of 1,500 women, the government has begun accepting applications for the second phase of the Punjab Dhee Rani Programme.
Applications can be submitted both online via the official portal (www.cmp.punjab.gov.pk) and in person at the district office of the Deputy Director of Social Welfare. To assist applicants, a dedicated helpline (1312) has also been established.
As part of this initiative, the Punjab government provides meals for the close relatives of both brides and grooms. Additionally, newlywed couples receive Rs100,000 per couple via ATM cards, along with essential household items such as furniture, clothing, and other necessities.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif expressed her deep affection for the daughters of Punjab, stating that she feels immense joy when a daughter embarks on a new journey in marriage. She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the underprivileged, emphasizing that every responsibility will be fulfilled with dedication and sincerity.
She further highlighted Punjab’s cherished tradition of caring for daughters with compassion, adding that the government is not only providing homes for them but also ensuring they are comfortable and livable.
