National Police Academy to Be Restructured Like PMA

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has unveiled a plan to modernize the National Police Academy (NPA), marking the first comprehensive upgrade in its history.

During a high-level meeting at the academy on Monday, officials decided to restructure the institution according to the model of the Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul.

The initiative includes establishing an Elite Force Training School, a Technical Training Centre, and state-of-the-art indoor and outdoor firing ranges.

To enhance facilities, the minister directed authorities to expand and improve the parade ground while prioritizing the construction of a residential block for trainee officers.

Naqvi instructed the academy’s management to submit a revised master plan incorporating necessary adjustments.

The transformation will be carried out in phases, ensuring a systematic approach to development. The minister emphasized his vision of making the NPA an internationally recognized institution, attracting officers from other countries for training.
