SBP and PTV Set for Historic Pink Ball Final in President’s Trophy

The stage is set for an exhilarating showdown as the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) prepares to face Pakistan Television (PTV) in the final of the President’s Trophy Grade-I at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

The match will take place from March 4 to March 8, featuring a pink ball, and played entirely under floodlights, marking a historic moment in Pakistan’s first-class cricket.

For the first time, the final will be played in the evening, with all sessions conducted under artificial lights. The schedule for the five-day final is as follows:

  • First Session: 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM
  • Second Session: 10:00 PM – 12:00 AM
  • Third Session: 12:30 AM – 2:30 AM

Both teams have demonstrated exceptional performance throughout the tournament, finishing at the top of the table with identical records of five wins, two losses, and one draw. SBP secured their place in the final after their last-round match against Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) ended in a draw at the KCCA Stadium in Karachi. PTV also clinched their spot in the final.

Entering the President’s Trophy final, PTV is in excellent form, having won three of their last four matches. Their momentum will be crucial as they face a formidable SBP side, which has also shown resilience and skill in their journey to the final.
