Punjab Wildlife authorities are temporarily shutting down Lahore Safari Zoo for 15 days, starting March 11, to carry out essential construction, annual repairs, and maintenance work.
According to a Punjab Wildlife and Parks spokesperson, ongoing improvement efforts will be completed within the given timeframe to ensure the zoo reopens before Eid.
In addition to renovations, a complete medical examination of all animals will be conducted to ensure their well-being.
During the closure, the administration will focus on providing the best care and facilities for the animals. Authorities emphasize that periodic upgrades are necessary to maintain a suitable environment for the animals and enhance the visitor experience.
Officials assure that all necessary measures will be completed within two weeks, and the zoo will reopen in an improved condition for visitors.
