The Lahore High Court (LHC) has taken a major step toward digitalizing the judicial system by launching new technological initiatives aimed at improving accessibility and transparency.
According to the official announcement, the court has introduced live streaming of cause list proceedings on its mobile application and official website. This allows lawyers and litigants to stay updated on case developments in real time.
Additionally, the attendance system for court staff has been modernized with a mobile application. Available on the Android Play Store, the app enables staff to mark attendance digitally using location-based tracking.
The iOS version is expected to be released soon. Supervisory officers can now monitor attendance records remotely, ensuring better management.
The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) and the LHC IT Wing have successfully implemented these upgrades, aiming to streamline operations.
Chief Justice Alia Neelam emphasized the importance of integrating modern technology into the judicial system. She stated that ongoing improvements to the LHC app and website will further enhance services for lawyers and litigants, making legal proceedings more efficient and accessible.
