Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has been named the team director of Quetta Gladiators ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 10) 2025. The announcement was made by franchise owner Nadeem Umar.
Sarfaraz, who has been a cornerstone of the Gladiators since the league’s inception, captained the team to its only PSL title in 2019. His appointment as team director signals a transition from his on-field role to a leadership position off the field.
“Today, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Sarfaraz Ahmed as the team director of Quetta Gladiators,” said Nadeem Umar. He expressed confidence in Sarfaraz’s ability to contribute to the team’s success in his new capacity.
Umar also emphasized the strength of the Gladiators’ leadership, highlighting the combination of Sarfaraz as team director and former captain Moin Khan as head coach. He believes this duo will play a pivotal role in revitalizing the franchise and steering it toward future victories.
