Thousands Offloaded by FIA at Lahore Airport Since January 2025

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has stopped more than 4,000 passengers from departing Lahore airport since January due to fake, suspicious, or incomplete travel documents. Officials have intensified scrutiny to curb illegal travel attempts.

According to FIA sources, 14 individuals were arrested for using forged documents, while 75 passengers involved in beggary were also detained. Those taken into custody have been handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Lahore for further investigation.

Additionally, authorities prevented 14 fugitives—wanted in serious criminal cases—from fleeing the country. These individuals were later transferred to Punjab Police for legal action.
