Asus has introduced its new VU Air Ionizer monitor series, merging display performance with air purification in a bid to improve overall user wellness. The unique lineup goes beyond visuals, aiming to create healthier workspaces by removing airborne particles such as dust, pollen, and allergens.
The standout feature across all three models is the built-in air ionizer, which uses nano-ion technology to purify a 1m³ area in front of the screen. According to Asus, the monitors can remove up to 90% of airborne dust within just three hours — all without requiring filters or maintenance. It’s a feature rarely seen in display hardware and targets home and office users seeking healthier workspaces.
The VU Air Ionizer series includes:
All models feature IPS panels, 100Hz refresh rates, and 1ms MPRT response time, along with Asus’ SmoothMotion technology to reduce ghosting during fast-paced content.
Asus equips each monitor with Eye Care Plus, which includes TÜV Rheinland-certified Low Blue Light and Flicker-Free features to protect users’ eyes during extended sessions. A Color Augmentation mode helps users with color vision deficiency, and Rest Reminders prompt regular screen breaks.
Asus has also leaned into sustainability, as the VU series’ packaging can be reused as desk accessories, such as phone stands or laptop risers, which helps reduce waste and promotes better desk ergonomics.
Asus appears to be setting a new trend by combining health, productivity, and sustainability in one product line. With the VU Air Ionizer monitors, the company is offering more than just screen real estate — it’s delivering a more conscious and healthier computing experience.
