KP Officially Announces Spring and Eid Holidays for Schools

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has officially announced spring vacations for all public and private educational institutions under the Elementary & Secondary Education Department.

The holidays will begin on April 1 and continue until April 8 across the province. According to the official notification, school staff, including principals, head teachers, and clerical staff, will be required to report to duty from April 3 to April 8 after the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

Their presence will ensure the distribution of free textbooks and facilitate the admission process for new students as part of the ongoing enrollment campaign. The provincial government has directed all relevant authorities to ensure strict compliance with the orders.

The notification has been forwarded to education officials, deputy commissioners, and the Chief Minister’s office, emphasizing the importance of a smooth transition into the new academic session.

This announcement follows similar decisions in Punjab, where the School Education Department has also declared extended Eid holidays for students. The move aims to provide students and teachers with a well-deserved break while ensuring that administrative and academic preparations continue without disruption.
