Govt School Students in Punjab to Enjoy 10 Eid Holidays

The Punjab government has declared extended Eid-ul-Fitr holidays for students across the province. Schools under the School Education Department will remain closed from March 28 to April 6, with classes resuming on April 7, according to Secretary School Education Khalid Nazir Wattoo.

The new academic year will also commence on April 7, while annual exam results will be announced on April 4, the secretary added.

Meanwhile, the Higher Education Department has also issued a notification granting public holidays in all public and private colleges under its jurisdiction from March 28 to April 2.

However, examinations will continue as per the notified schedule of all Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISEs) in Punjab.

The decision ensures that students, teachers, and staff can celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with their families while maintaining the academic calendar.
