In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 867,000 candidates have applied for 16,454 vacant positions in government schools.
According to details, the provincial education department received applications from a large pool of candidates for these teaching vacancies.
Data released by the official testing agency shows that 395,000 women and 470,000 men have applied for the positions.
Notably, among the applicants are 406 PhD degree holders seeking teaching jobs. Additionally, 7,161 differently-abled individuals and four transgender candidates have also applied.
Education department officials have assured that the recruitment process will be transparent and merit-based to ensure deserving candidates are selected.
