Urdu Commentary Set to Take Center Stage in PSL X Broadcast

For years, the Pakistan Super League has thrilled cricket fans with its explosive action and superstar performances. But as the tournament gears up for PSL X, the Pakistan Cricket Board is adding something new to the experience that speaks straight to the heart of the nation in the form of Urdu commentary during the broadcast.

For the first time in PSL history, fans will be able to follow entire matches with live Urdu commentary, bringing Pakistan’s most beloved sport even closer to home for millions.

While Urdu commentary has featured in snippets or highlights in previous seasons, PSL X’s dedicated Urdu broadcast feed means fans across the country can fully immerse themselves in the PSL action in their national language—from the first ball to the last.

Salman Naseer, the PSL Chief Executive Officer, described the move as a “landmark moment” for the league and its supporters.

It’s a move that’s about more than language—it’s about creating a richer, more inclusive viewing experience for Pakistan’s cricket-loving population. Whether it’s breaking down a tense run chase, explaining a tricky LBW decision, or capturing the drama of a last-over thriller—all of it will now unfold in words and expressions rooted in local culture and passion.

Broadcast details—including the full commentary panels for both Urdu and English—will be announced soon. The PCB has hinted at assembling a team of seasoned commentators and possibly some fresh voices to lead this groundbreaking initiative.

With the countdown to PSL 10 well and truly on, one thing’s certain—this season, fans won’t just watch the action. They’ll feel it, understand it, and celebrate it in the language that belongs to them.
