All government and private schools in Rawalpindi have launched six new subject streams for Grade 9 admissions for the 2025–26 academic year.
Students are being provided with complete details of the new subject groups along with their admission forms. Those promoted from Grade 8 have been given three days to consult their parents before finalizing their choice of stream.
Classes for these new subject groups are set to begin on April 11.
The newly introduced streams include:

Matric in Natural Sciences

Matric in Computer Science

Matric in Health Science

Matric in Agriculture

Matric in Fashion Designing
-
Matric in Arts
Each stream includes five compulsory subjects: Translation of the Quran, English, Urdu, Islamiat, and Pakistan Studies.
Here’s a breakdown of the additional subjects by stream:
