A heated confrontation broke out at Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore between female passengers and customs officials, according to ARY News.
The altercation began when two women arriving from Abu Dhabi reportedly objected to customs authorities’ withholding their luggage, which included Lehenga dresses and CCTV cameras.
A video of the incident has since gone viral, showing a physical scuffle, with both sides seen slapping each other. At one point, a female customs official was caught on camera pulling a passenger by the hair and dragging her away.
Customs authorities confirmed that the dispute stemmed from clearance issues related to the items in the luggage. One of the passengers has been taken into custody for allegedly assaulting a customs officer, and a case has been registered, with further legal proceedings underway.
In a separate incident, former Quetta commissioner Iftikhar Jogezai and his daughter were offloaded from a Quetta-Islamabad flight following a mid-air altercation with a flight attendant.
The trouble reportedly began at check-in when the pair misbehaved with airline staff. During the flight, tensions escalated after a female flight attendant asked them to fasten their seatbelts and stop meal service. The commissioner’s daughter allegedly responded with abusive language and created a scene onboard.
The pilot was forced to return the aircraft to the runway and called in the Airport Security Force (ASF). Though asked to disembark, the woman refused and reportedly punched the flight attendant, causing injury.
Both incidents are under investigation, and authorities have pledged to take appropriate action.
